For UFC’s first return to China in two years, the largest mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion in the world entrusted Cre8PLUS to helm its Asia Facebook page to promote Fight Night in Macao. Our goal was to create and manage content that would drive ticket sales from Hong Kong locals with a casual interest in MMA, while also engaging hardcore fans who had a deeper understanding of the sport. Our multifaceted social media strategy yielded consistent increases in engagement and reach, and also managed to stir up many a hot debate between impassioned and opinionated UFC fans. Ultimately, the event was a classified sellout, and our work concluded with live social media feeding from the side of the Octagon on the Fight Night.
